Once an application has been submitted and an interview is complete, we will decide if we feel you are ready for a Junior staff position or if we feel you would benefit from the LIT2 program before moving forward in your staff journey at Kadesh.

The Program Coordinators maintain and organize all spring and summer camp activities, games, and oversee staff in these areas. They train and direct staff in running skills, participating in programming, providing adequate supervision, and helping maintain equipment. They will assist the Camp Director in providing scheduling to all areas of program. LEADER IN TRAINING (LIT) PROGRAM COORDINATORS: (Positions Filled for 2025)

TWO OPTIONS: 4 MONTH POSITION // May - August OR 2 MONTH POSITION // July - August (with some paid prep work that can be done off-site in May & June). Preference will be given to those who apply for the 4 month position.

The LIT Coordinators provide leadership for the Leader in Training program. The program focuses on discipleship, community building, and leadership development through service and learning. LIT Coordinators are responsible for communication with applicants and their parents // caregivers, training & overseeing the LITs in their service tasks (the set up, serving, and clean up of each meal and the cleaning of other areas of the camp), coordinating and facilitating discipleship and leadership development sessions, and overseeing their observation of cabin leading. FIRST AID RESPONDER**: 2 MONTH POSITION // July - August (Position Filled for 2025)

The First Aid Responder is the primary response to all land based emergencies and medical needs. They will oversee the collection and administration of all prescription and over the counter medication, provide general medical care throughout the week, contact parents/caregivers about camper medical issues, and provide incident reports when necessary. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and be certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain). CAMPER SUPPORT COORDINATOR**: 2 MONTH POSITION // July - August (Position Filled for 2025)

The Camper Support Coordinator provides supports to campers who may have non-medical needs such as mental health or behavioural needs, homesickness, cultural integration, gender or sexual diversity. Collaborating with the parents/caregivers, camper, and cabin leaders, they develop and help implement a support plan for the greatest possibility of a successful week at camp. They will be the first point of contact if a camper needs to call home. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and be certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain). Preference is given to those who have experience in providing similar care or are in a related field of study (such as youth care worker, social work, or education). MULTIMEDIA COORDINATORS**: 2 MONTH POSITION // July - August (Positions Filled for 2025)

The Multimedia Coordinators are responsible for telling the story of camp by capturing and crafting the media that each camper will be able to take home each week, supporting our program with media elements for games and chapel times, and creating content for online posting and the year round promotion of Camp Kadesh. WATERFRONT COORDINATOR**: 2 MONTH POSITION // July - August (Position Filled for 2025)

The Waterfront Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing waterfront safety and staff. They will be responsible for working with the Camp Director for scheduling lifeguards on skill activities and for supervision. Partnering with the Water Sports Coordinator, they will be responsible for training the other waterfront staff, daily set up and clean up of the waterfront area, maintenance of water sports and boat equipment, and overseeing all waterfront safety protocols and incident reports. WATER SPORTS COORDINATOR**: 2 MONTH POSITION // July - August (Position Filled for 2025)

The Water Sports Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the staff and maintenance in our water sports programming and be the main boat driver. They will be responsible for working with the Waterfront Coordinator for training waterfront staff, daily set up and clean up of the waterfront area, maintenance of water sports and boat equipment, and overseeing appropriate waterfront safety protocols and incident reports. A Boat Driver is responsible for driving either our water sports or tubing boats for all skill activities and during free time each day. They will be responsible for daily set up and clean up of the waterfront area and maintenance of water sports and boat equipment. As a Program Team member, they will be required to participate in other program requirements such as participating in games or specialized programming.  Must be a minimum of 18 years of age, hold a valid Pleasure Craft Operators license, and have boat driving experience. Training for Camp Kadesh boat driving policies will be provided. SENIOR CABIN LEADER**: 2 MONTH POSITION // July & August (Positions Filled for 2025)

These staff members take the primary leadership role in the camper cabins. They work to encourage spiritual growth in their campers through building relationships and leading discussions about life, faith, and Jesus during cabin times. They are in charge of ensuring their cabin knows how to navigate the camp schedule as well as maintaining unity and camper care. Senior Cabin Leaders also mentor and disciple the Junior Cabin Leader and the Leader in Training in their cabin. Senior Cabin Leaders will run two skill activities each day, help with free time supervision, and participate in camp wide games. Applicants must have graduated high school. SENIOR PROGRAM TEAM MEMBER**: 2 MONTH POSITION // July & August (Positions Filled for 2025)

This role is scheduled for most of our daily programming times, being a lead skill staff in all 4 skill blocks, participating in supervision duties at free time, helping with the wide games, and helping maintain equipment. Program team members will assist the Program Coordinators with set up and may be given a specific activity area of focus to take lead on. Applicants must be graduated high school. LIFEGUARD // PROGRAM TEAM MEMBER**: 2 MONTH POSITION // July & August (Positions Filled for 2025)

Lifeguards work under the Waterfront and Water Sports Coordinators to provide safety and instruction on the waterfront. They are responsible for daily set up and clean up of the waterfront area, maintenance of water sports and boat equipment, leading all 4 skill blocks, and participating in supervision duties on the water front at free time. They also play a support role in general program areas as part of the Program Team (see Program Team Member). Must have NLS and lifeguard experience. WORSHIP LEADER: 2 MONTH POSITION // July & August (Position Filled for 2025)

The Worship Leader is responsible for organizing and leading worship for chapel times, campfires, and staff meetings each week. They are in charge of organizing and communicating with teams each week, picking songs and running practice times, and creating a framework for campers to understand what worship is and how to engage with it. 

When partnered with being a cabin staff, this position will also give leadership to a cabin. See Cabin Leader for more details. When partnered with being on the program team, this position will also help lead skills and participate in other program expressions. LEADER IN TRAINING 2 (LIT2) &  JUNIOR CABIN LEADER 1 (JC1): Positions available only in July & August (Positions Filled for 2025)

Applicants who are asked to LIT2 must be available for a full LIT term. JC1s need a minimum of a two week commitment. Applicants must be completed grade 10 or have completed the Leader in Training program. After your interview, it will be evaluated whether an applicant is invited to be a part of the LIT2 program or to be a JC1. 

LIT2: Those who LIT2 are returning to the LIT program for a second time with the opportunity to also have greater preparation for cabin leading by being the 3rd staff in campers cabins. LIT2s will have opportunity to take greater leadership roles in the LIT program and can move on to be a JC1 once they have completed this phase of their leadership development. JUNIOR CABIN LEADER 2 (JC2): 2 MONTH POSITION // July & August (Positions Filled for 2025)

This position is for the person that has already been a junior staff member (cabin leading or on program team).  These staff members help support the program by teaching skill activities, providing supervision at free time, and participating in the camp wide games. Junior Cabin Leaders are expected to actively assist with all activities they are a part of and take more of a lead role.  There are no Junior Cabin Leaders employed during Senior Teen. JUNIOR LIFEGUARD // PROGRAM TEAM MEMBER: 2 WEEK POSITION // July & August (Positions Filled for 2025)

Jr. Lifeguards will be designated to Lifeguard after 2 weeks of work, pending evaluation. Junior Lifeguards work under the Waterfront and Water Sports Coordinators and alongside other Lifeguards to provide safety and instruction on the waterfront. Being provided opportunities to shadow other lifeguards for mentorship, they are responsible for daily set up and clean up of the waterfront area, maintenance of water sports and boat equipment, leading all 4 skill blocks, and participating in supervision duties at free time. They also play a support role in general program areas as part of the Program Team (see Junior Program Team Member). Must have Bronze Cross // Medallion or NLA. ASSISTANT COOK: 4 MONTH POSITION // May - August (Position Filled for 2025)

The Assistant Cook is responsible for providing excellent food service to guests and staff by directly assisting the head cook and being the second in charge of the kitchen. This person would be required to have some experience with the Camp Kadesh kitchen or other similar camp kitchen experience. This person should also be comfortable giving direction to others and have a willingness to oversee the kitchen when the Head Cook is not present.
